So I was working on getting a virtual machine set up for some project Master_Kale wanted to do. My Linux machine is pretty simple setup hard drive wise:
However, it's taking forever to create a hard drive, I'm getting freezes, I come home from a long day of work to realize the drive has about 2 gigs of room left (but I can only see about 6 gigs of files on a 30 gig drive), I can't fsck it, I can't do anything with it really. During a reboot it finally shits on me, Linux continues TRYING TO READ FROM THE DISK but fails every time, prints and error, and tries again, and again, and again. Linux, get a clue, it's a non-system drive, ask me to abort/default to aborting after 20 failed tries or something! This kind of stuff is what makes your OS impossible! Anyway, I got some questions floating around the net on possibly reclaiming it, so far I've removed the drive (which I think was a replacement drive for the Wellness Center long ago, I can't figure out why I have a 30 gig Maxtor hard drive...), and have virtual machines running under storage... lame (40 gigs for everything). Oh and also, Master_Kale, got some extra IDE drives? haha -------------------- |

Oh and also, Master_Kale, got some extra IDE drives? haha I just might, as a matter of fact. I'll have to take a look when I get home, but that won't be for another week. I can ask my parents to get it/them (the harddrives) ready for you so you could just swing buy and pick them up. -------------------- |

I don't need them that badly, I figure if you find one laying around when you get back home or something that would be awesome, and I'll do fine on the 40 gig for now, however it was nice to have a dedicated virtual machines drive. Anyway, kicked everything back up on the storage drive, but I need to get a new XP hard drive going. grr. -------------------- |
